Sledding in Gastein

Sledding party for young and old

The sledding slopes in the Gastein Valley promise a diverse holiday programme and are also suited for the entire family in addition to the classic snow sports. No matter whether just another day activity or as the trip’s highlight as a sledding tour by night – while sledding you get to enjoy the surroundings and the wonderful landscape of the Gastein mountains in all their glory!

In Gastein you can choose among two different slopes

Sledding slope Aeroplan – Bad Hofgastein (approx. 3km)

+43 6432 3393

After a short ascent with the Schloßalmbahn in Bad Hofgastein and a short walk (approx. 10 minutes) to the Aeroplanstadl (serviced inn) you reach the start of this track. This sledding slope is the longest in the Gastein Valley and is suitable for both young and old sledding fans. It is important to note that the finish line of this sledding slope is located at the Reiterhof Oberhaitzing (part of Wieden/Bad Hofgastein). From there it is a 15-minute walk back to the valley station of the Schloßalmbahn.

Sledding slope Bellevuealm
 – Bad Gastein (approx. 2.5km)

+43 699 1828 8802

This sledding slope can be described as a very special experience. A rare yet classic single-seater chairlift takes you up to the start of this slope. Once you arrive at the top, you can refuel at the Bellevuealm - a particularly traditional hut - in front of the open fireplace before starting your adventure. The roughly 2.5 km course takes you back to the starting point through the romantic forests of the Gastein Valley.
