Alpine hut Gastein - Hauserbaueralm
HOME-MADE TREATS BY GRANDMA "ANNI"
Whether by means of an extended hike, mountain bike tour or just a leisurely walk, you can easily reach our rustic mountain hut from the hotel.
Park your car on our "Wandererparkplatz" (hikers parking lot outside Bergl village). You can reach our alpine cottage on foot in approx. 1½ h.
From the hotel continue towards Reiterbauer, at the first turnoff (Heumoosalm-Hauserbaueralm) take the left-hand road, at the second turnoff (Paulbaueralm-Hauserbaueralm) turn right.
Via long winding roads continue from here to the hut. The effort is worth the while in any case, the senior boss "Anni" is already waiting for you with her homemade farmer's pastries.
HAVEN’T HIKED ENOUGH?
Passing behind the hut, follow a small footpath to the Lenzbaueralm, Paulbaueralm and Steinerhochalm inn (serviced).
From the Paulbaueralm there’s the option to "hike" one of the most beautiful mountain lakes in the area (in further 1-1½ hours) - the PAARSEEN lakes.

Our tip: Before you make your way to our alpine hut, please inquire briefly in the hotel whether it is open. Since the alpine hut is still serviced by our grandmother "Anni", the opening hours can vary on occasion. In the summer our "Hauserbauer Alm" is usually open from Friday to Sunday.
